As part of the GOLD Erasmus+ project, partners conducted an in-depth documentary review to map the main legal and policy frameworks related to ageing and disability in each partner country and at the European level. Inspiring practices implemented across the partnership were also identified.

In parallel, around forty qualitative interviews were carried out with ageing persons with disabilities, professionals, and family carers. These interviews provided direct insights into how different target groups perceive ageing and what their needs are.

This synthesis document brings together the key findings from these analyses. It includes explanations of essential concepts related to ageing with disabilities, practical guidance, examples of inspiring practices, and testimonies that help better understand the challenges these individuals face and highlight useful ideas and resources for professionals.
