GOLD Project Held Its Fourth Transnational Project Meeting in Baia Mare, Romania

The GOLD – Getting Older with a Disability project partners gathered in Baia Mare, Romania, for the fourth Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), hosted by ASSOC.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to review the progress achieved so far, discuss the results of the project’s activities and agree on the next steps needed to successfully complete the project, which is now approaching its final stage. Partners shared updates, reflected on the work carried out together and coordinated their efforts to ensure the successful completion of the remaining activities and deliverables.

Study Visits to ASSOC’s Social Services

Alongside the project meeting, partners took part in study visits to explore ASSOC’s local social services and learn more about its approach to supporting vulnerable people.

The visits included ASSOC’s Independent Living Center of Groși and the ”Pinochio” Assisted-living Facility of Cărbunari, two localities near Baia Mare. These facilities are important components of ASSOC’s network of social services, which also includes activities delivered through the Daycare Centre at ASSOC’s headquarters.

Partners also had the opportunity to learn about the concept of the ASSOC Social Restaurant, located at the organisation’s headquarters. The restaurant represents an additional element of ASSOC’s support for vulnerable people, illustrating how social services can contribute to inclusion and community well-being.

These visits offered valuable insights into the organisation of local care services and the practical approaches adopted by ASSOC to respond to people’s needs.

Moving Towards the Final Stage of the Project

The fourth TPM in Baia Mare was an important milestone for the GOLD partnership, strengthening cooperation among partners and helping to define the priorities for the final phase of the project.

As GOLD approaches its conclusion, partners remain committed to completing the planned activities and contributing to more inclusive and supportive environments for older people with disabilities.

Together, we are taking the final steps towards achieving the goals of the GOLD project!
